坦克世界可选车体历史解读：苏系轻中重坦

　　Panning across tier 7, we reach the A-44, a much moreinteresting topic than the T-43. In addition to its unconventional design, ithad not one, not two, but three hull options designed for it. The first optionhad 120 mm of front armour, and 100 mm of side armour, with a maximum speed of53 kph. The second option had 90 mm of front armour and 75 mm of side armour,and a maximum speed of 59 kph. The third had 75 mm of front armour, 60 mm ofside armour, and a maximum speed of 65 kph.

　　7级上第二部MT是A-44，和T-43相比更加有意思。除开它是一个反常规的设计这一事实，它还有3个可选车体。第一个有着120mm的正面装甲，100mm的侧面装甲，极速53km/h;第二个的正面装甲为90mm，侧面75mm，极速59km/h;第三个正面则为75mm，侧面60mm，极速65km/h。

　　Looking at the armour model and mass of the in-game tank, it isthe lightest option: 75 mm of armour in the front (aside from the completelyvertical plates), and 60 mm on the sides. Its max speed is limited to that ofthe medium armoured option, not the light one. Since a tier 7 medium tank with120 mm of front armour sloped at 60 degrees would be massively overpowered(tier 8 premium, perhaps?), the other hulls make reasonable choices for a stockand upgraded hull.

　　At tier 7, we also have the KV-13. The KV-13 was also developedwith two hull options. Unfortunately, both had the same amount of armour. Ifthis tank gets an upgrade, it will be entirely cosmetic.

　　7级最后一个MT是KV-13，同样有2个可选车体。不幸的是2者的装甲都相同。如果这坦克会有可选车体，那仅仅会是外观上的。

　　Going up to tier 8, we get the T-44. The T-44 had several stepsin its development, each receiving more and more armour. The first had 75 mm onthe upper front plate, and 30 mm on the lower. The second increased the lowerplate to 45 mm. The T-44A came with even more armour, 90 mm on the top and 75on the bottom. You’d think that the lighter armoured hull would make the tankgo faster, but nope, the fastest T-44 was the T-44A, with 60.5 kph top speed(compare to the in-game T-44, with 51 kph top speed). A variant of the T-44-100with side armour screens was also made, giving the option for a visuallydistinctive hull upgrade.

　　The other tier 8 medium, Object 416, was an experimentalprototype only, and I am not aware of any alternative hulls available for it.

　　The T-54 stands alone as the USSR’s only tier 9 medium. Rightnow, it’s a “best of both worlds” setup, with the 120 mm of front armour fromearly T-54 prototypes, but speed from late versions. As SerB said, odds arethat when the hull patch hits, you will have to choose: armour (with speedreduced to 42.5 kph) or speed (with armour reduced to 100 mm).

　　Since tier 10s are supposed to be elite by default (with a fewexceptions), it is unlikely that either the T-62A or Object 140 will receiveupgradable hulls.

　　Having already explored medium and light tankoptions, heavy tanks are the next logical choice. You should already befamiliar with how this works, so let’s get to it.

　　The first Soviet heavy tank is theKV-1, at tier 5. Its hull options were exhaustively explored in a previous article. I was going to suggest that the KV-1S hull be available as anupgrade to make the tank go a little faster than its current sluggish pace, butalas, the KV-1S (KV-85) was revealed to be a future tier 5 heavy tank literallytoday, making a lightened hull option very unlikely. The only remaining optionis the KV-6 (KV-1 with 90 mm of hull armour) and KV-1 with additional armourscreens (100 mm of hull armour). Both changes are rather predictable, a morearmoured, slower tank.

　　在讲完LT和MT的可选车体后，下一个自然而然的就是HT了。第一部苏联HT是5级的KV-1，它的可选车体在后面的文章中会讲。不过作者建议将KV-1S的车体作为一个升级选项，牺牲装甲改善一下它糟糕的机动性，不过鉴于KV-85要变为新的5级HT，这样变化可能不太可能实现。剩下的选项就只有KV-6(90mm前甲的KV-1)和加装了附加装甲板的KV-1(车体装甲达到100mm)。两个变化都是进一步的牺牲速度换取更厚的装甲。

　　Going up a tier, we are faced with a whopping three heavy tanks. The first of the bunch is the KV-2. The KV-2 did not serve anywhere as long as the KV-1 did. It was too late for the war it was built for, and was not very useful in the opening stages of the next one. Its heavy gun and turret cut into the already slim weight resource of the KV, leading to a lack of additional armouring projects. The only extra hull that could be available for it is the model 1940 hull, which is different from the current one in minor visual details.

　　往上看一级，我们会发现3个大家伙。首先就是KV-2。KV-2服役的时间和广度都远不及KV-1，对于设计中它应当参与的战斗而言出现得太晚，在面对新的战场环境时又显得用处不大。KV-2上的152mm重炮挤占了KV-1上本来就少得可怜的重量资源，导致它成为了一个缺乏装甲保护的项目。唯一的可选车体就是1940年型，和游戏中的有微小的外观差异。

　　The T-150 is up next. Only one tank was produced. As far as I amaware, no additional hulls were planned.

　　Finally, we have the KV-1S. The only possible upgrade isslightly more side armour from using KV-1 hulls or a KV-85 hull with a slightlywider turret platform. Yawn. Turns out that tier 6, despite having the mostheavy tanks, is the least interesting. Moving on.

　　Tier 7 cuts back down to two heavies. The KV-3 was never built,so it’s very unlikely that it will get a second hull, but the IS is quite interesting!The “step” front armour the tank currently has is representative of the 1943model. The later one had a better armour layout.

　　7级的HT又减少到2部。KV-3从未建造，所以不太可能有第二个车体，但是IS却很有意思。游戏中阶梯状的前装甲代表的是1943年的型号，事实上还有一个装甲布局更佳的1944年型车体。
