坦克世界6级金币中坦谢尔曼狂怒型装甲解析

　　as youprobably know by now, there’s a Sherman Fury in the game (a tier 6 premiummedium tank). It’s being sold on ASIA server (not sure about the US, it’s noton EU yet however).

　　你也许知道，亚服已经开始卖谢尔曼“狂怒”(6级金币MT)了，但是关于美服还是欧服会不会卖还不知道。

　　It is nosecret that the Fury E8 has quite different armor layout than the regularSherman E8 (we are talking about the elite turret now). Let’s make a quickcomparison. This is the regular E8 (in Fury-corresponding configuration):

　　“狂怒”型和原版M4A3E8的装甲布局不同已经不是什么稀罕事了(完全体间的比较)，咱就来快速比较一下。下面是常规的E8：

　　At firstglance, you can notice significant differences on the hull:

　　第一眼就能看见车体上的不同：

　　- theoriginal E8 has the entire lower part 101mm thick. The Fury has only a smallstrip of very thick armor on lower frontal plate (108mm thick), while the restof the lower frontal plate is 50,8mm thick (easily penetrable)

　　原版E8的整个首下都是101mm，而“狂怒”只在首下有一小条108mm的装甲带，而其它部分就只有50.8mm(非常容易击穿)

　　- upper part of the frontal plate is 63,5mm thick for both models

　　两个模型的首上都是63.5

　　- the frontal hull roof thickness increased from 19,5mm to 25,4mm, the sidesthickness is more or less the same

　　前车体顶部的厚度从19.5mm增加到25.4mm，而侧面的装甲厚度则基本一致。

　　- Fury has thicker space armor rim, protecting the turret rotator mechanism

　　“狂怒”型的间隙装甲衬板(炮塔座圈旁)厚度更大，可以更好的保护炮塔转动机构。

　　Thebiggest change however happened to the turret. On the pictures above, you cansee how the mantlet covers the entire frontal of the turret in both cases. Butthere’s a catch. Check this out – this is the regular E8 Sherman turret, withthe mantlet (in both cases 89mm thick) removed:

　　然而最大的不同还是在于炮塔。在上面的图中，两者的炮盾都基本是覆盖了整个炮塔正面的。但是注意一下细节：下面是移除了89mm炮盾的常规E8的炮塔。

　　And thisis the Fury turret:

　　In words– the old E8 basically has an 89mm mantlet over 76,2mm frontal turret armor,giving the deep violet zone a protection level of 165,2mm mostly. The Fury onthe other hand has a giant hole behind the 89mm mantlet, which means that mostof the frontal turret has only 89mm protection. Additionally, compared to thenew model, the upper part of the turret (above the mantlet) was nerfed from76,2mm to 44,5mm. Together, this all means that the Fury turret is MUCH easierto penetrate than the old E8 turret.

　　基本说来就是常规的E8在76.2mm的炮塔正面还覆盖有89mm的炮盾，所以紫色区域大致穿深防护水平为165.2mm。但是“狂怒”在89mm炮盾后的炮塔上有个大洞，也就意味着炮塔正面大部分区域的防护水平只有89mm。不仅如此，和新模型相比，炮塔上部(炮盾以上部分)厚度从76.2mm削弱到了44.5mm。总体来说，“狂怒”要比E8脆多了

　　Additionally,the Fury is 4 tons heavier (this is unhistorical according to Hunnicutt by cca1 ton), gun depression nerfed from -12 to -10 (historical) and has lowermaximum speed (nerfed to 41,8 km/h, this is historical). But is the armor nerfhistorical? Is there a really such a hole in real life?

　　除此之外，“狂怒”比E8重个4吨(这根据H老爷子的资料，和历史数据有1吨左右的差异)，俯角被从-12削到了-10(符合历史的)，极速更低(被砍到了41.8km/h，也是符合历史的)。但是炮盾后面的洞符合历史吗?

　　Yup.There is. So, why was it modelled differently until now? Well, two reasonsreally.

　　不幸的是确实如此。那为啥E8和“狂怒”的炮塔建模不同呢?嘛，这有2个原因。

　　- theoriginal M4A3E8 model is very, very old, it was in the first American line andall that. Back then, the developers didn’t really care about historicalaccuracy that much.

　　原版的E8模型已经很有历史了，它是出现在美国第一条科技线中的。在那时候，开发者们还没有那么执着于还原历史。

　　- at that point, instead of accuracy, the developers cared about the “linecontinuity” and the “distinctive feature of American tanks”, which were, as youknow, very tough turrets. And so, they buffed the turret unhistorically by notusing the “hole” behind the mantlet at all (earlier 75mm models had it smaller,but it still was there) to produce the “tough turret” element at the expense ofhistoricity

　　在那时候，相较起“历史”，开发者们更关心的是科技树的连续性以及美国坦克的独特玩法，也就是现在广为人知的铁头功。因此他们不历史的buff了炮塔，取消了炮盾后面的洞(早期装75mm炮的版本把洞缩小了，但是还是存在的)，以历史的代价实现了E8的小铁头。

　　Thingshave changed since then, the boundaries between lines have blurred. French areno longer the only ones with autoloaders, Germans don’t have long rangefighting exlusivity in the game anymore and not all Americans have toughturrets. What this however means for us is the fact that when the original E8gets reworked to the HD standard, its armor will probably change to resemblethe current Fury layout. According to Storm, it will not happen anytime verysoon, but it will happen at some point. So be ready.

　　但是自那之后事情变了，不同科技树之间的差异渐渐模糊了。法系不再是唯一拥有弹夹车的国家，德国不再唯一拥有远距作战优势的国家，美国也不再全是铁头了。这样说的意思就是当目前的E8重制为HD时，它的装甲可能会变为“狂怒”这样的。根据Storm的意思，E8的HD化暂时还不会有，不过还是做好心理准备吧。
